Manrose is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted in the prestigious Electrical Industry Awards 2017, which recognises, celebrates and rewards companies leading the way in the UK electrical sector. The company’s innovative Deluxe Quick Internal Fit Wall Kit, developed to simplify ventilation installation, has been named as a finalist in the ‘Residential/Domestic Product of the Year’ category.
Using patented technology, the Deluxe Quick Internal Fit Wall Kit is a new breed of wall kit which can be installed entirely from the inside of a property. It has no loose parts and the external grille is fixed to the wall liner eliminating the risk of dropping grilles from scaffolding or falls from height, reducing installation time and removing the need for costly and time consuming external grille fitting involving scaffolding or ladders. No matter what the height or what the weather, this wall kit is quick, easy and safe to install.
“We are so pleased that our innovative Deluxe Quick Internal Fit Wall Kit has been recognised in these important industry awards” said Clive Britton, sales director at Manrose. “The wall kit is proving very popular with installers due to it offering quicker and much safer installations and being able to avoid the worst of the British weather is a real boost too!!”
Ideal for high-rise applications, first floor bathrooms and anywhere that is not readily accessible from the outside, the innovative Wall Kit simply pushes through a hole from the inside of the building. An external grille is then deployed that doesn’t require the installer to reach through the entire length of the wall tube, and spring pins hold the wall kit securely in place. Notches in the internal face allow it to be simply aligned and then the external grille and seal can be pulled back against the external wall so a tight fit can be achieved. This covers up break-out from the external surface and provides water ingress protection, resulting in a neat and secure installation. The Kit is also incredibly versatile, being suitable for differing wall thicknesses and fan types, including those with and without integral shutters.
The Wall Kit has other benefits too. It is suitable for intermittent and continuous running fans, due to its low resistance external grille, and the tubes’ extendable length means Manrose’s Kit can be used in a wider range of properties than other, less adjustable kits. The Kit is adjustable, so removes the need for cutting on-site and can accommodate wall thicknesses from 225mm up to 390mm.
The Internal Fit Wall Kit is suitable for a wide range of 100mm fans. To allow a variety of fans or grilles to be installed the Kit has been designed so the internal flange thickness is minimised. The Kit offers further versatility since the internal flange is also flexible enough to accommodate deviations in the internal surface finish. Manrose’s wall kit also has an optional backdraught shutter model for use with fans that do not have integral shutters. In addition, the Kit is also suitable to be used as a passive air grille in passive ventilation.
